Pat Thompson of 8th Street Books & Comics in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan saw the response by Scott R. Moore to concerns about disparity between Canadian and U.S. shipping (see 'Scott R. Moore of Galaxy Comics on Holiday Shipping'), and feels there was no need for the disruptions to Canadian shipments:

In response to 'Scott R. Moore of Galaxy Comics on Holiday Shipping--Minimal Disruption,' these were two disruptions in a row that did not need to happen.  There was no reason for the comics to have been held. I have my shop in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  Our comics are shipped out of Edmonton.  For both statutory holidays the comics were in Edmonton ready to be shipped but were held because of a decision from Diamond.  There was no reason for this disruption in business.

I have had two weeks in a row with significantly reduced sales and this last Wednesday I had 22 calls from customers inquiring if comics were in. I usually field two or three.  My Wednesday customer count was significantly down this week.

Please don't tell me there is my customers don't care that comics were late.
