Paramount Pictures has acquired movie rights to The Foundation, an upcoming five-issue comic book miniseries from Boom! Studios written by John Rozum and drawn by Kody Chamberlain.  The story follows a foundation that seeks to prevent some of the nastier of Nostradamus' prophecies from coming true.

Boom! Studios has only been around since 2005 and this is the third of its series for which movie rights have been acquired before going to press--Talent (see 'Boom Comic Gets Movie Deal') and Tag (see 'Boom! Studios Comic Optioned') are both licensed to Universal.
