Viz Media is bringing manga-ka Arina Tanemura to San Diego where she will sign autographs on Saturday, July 28th and participate in the Shojo Beat panel that afternoon.  Ms. Tanemura is best known for her Full Moon o Sagashite, a seven-volume shojo series published here as Full Moon by Viz Media (Viz has also released the Full Moon anime under its Shojo Beat Home Video imprint), the seven-volume Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne manga (published here by CMX), and her current series, The Gentleman's Alliance (Shinshi Doumei Cross), which was ranked #8 in ICv2's most recent 'Top 50 Manga Properties' list based on sales in the most recent three-month period.

Ms. Tanemura also created the cover for the August issue of Shojo Beat (out July 17th), which will contain her manga short story, 'Shojo Eve: Eve's Applework 24 Hours.' San Diego attendees who buy any of Ms. Tanemura's books, a copy of the August Shojo Beat, a Full Moon DVD, or a subscription to Shojo Beat will receive a hard poster/writing board (shikishi) finished with a Gentleman's Alliance design.
