Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix dropped 58% during its second weekend of release earning an estimated $32.2 million and narrowly losing out to the Adam Sandler comedy, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, which brought in $34.8 million.  The fifth Harry Potter film has earned $207.5 million in its first twelve days of release and might have fared better at the box office this past weekend if it didn't have to compete with the release of the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series, a 760-page monster volume, which sold over 8.3 million copies during its first day of release and kept many of the teen wizard's fans busy over the weekend.  With sales of over $350 million overseas, the Order of the Phoenix has driven the total for the entire series over the $4 billion mark.

Meanwhile Transformers declined just 45% in its third week of release bringing its total to $262 million and making it nearly certain that the robot-filled action picture will make it across the $300 million mark.  Pixar's Ratatouille declined only 38.9% in its fourth weekend bringing its total to nearly $166 million.  Ratatouille appears destined to make it over the $200 mark, but doesn't have much chance of matching Cars' $242 million take.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer earned just $740,000 and looks to finish around $130 million.  Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End earned just $730,000 and looks to be just about done with a cumulative of $306 million.  There is no chance that Pirates or Shrek the Third will catch Spider-Man 3, but if Transformers and Order of the Phoenix continue on as expected this summer season will have an unprecedented five films that earned over $300 million.
