Oni Press and best-selling novelist Karin Slaughter announced the launching of Slaughterhouse Graphic Novels, an imprint dedicated exclusively to creations written by established writers of prose fiction. Slaughter, whose Grant County thrillers, have sold more than 12 million copies since the debut of Blindsided in 2001, is crafting the first Slaughterhouse graphic novel release The Recidivists, a near-future cautionary tale that blends three overlapping narrative streams, and which is scheduled for publication in the spring of 2009.
Details about future releases for the Slaughterhouse imprint will be announced at the 2008 New York Comic Con.
