Starz Entertainment has announced Starz Inside, a new series of documentaries about movies hosted by Richard Roeper (of Ebert & Roeper At the Movies) that will include a show airing in December that will examine anime. Other episodes will run for a month on the Starz cable and satellite channels cover such topics as
Anime: Drawing a Revolution debuts on December 17th and examines the pioneers of Japanese animation, the influence of anime on Japanese culture, the world in general and Hollywood filmmakers in particular. Roeper will discuss a number of key anime films including Spirited Away, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Princess Mononoke, The Animatrix, Transformers, and more.
