Marvel has announced a new direct-to-DVD animated project.  Hulk Smash, which features the not-so-jolly green giant, is slated for release in October of 2008.  Marvel's Doctor Strange direct-to-DVD animated film is due out on August 14th and its Teen Avengers direct-to-DVD feature (see 'Marvel Direct-to-DVD Animation Skews Younger') is scheduled for July 2008.

Marvel did not provide any additional information about the Hulk Smash DVD, but with World War Hulk currently the hottest series in the comic book market, the choice of Hulk as the subject for this DVD project targeting the fan market is a real no-brainer.
