According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is taking Logan's Run off the back burner after several attempts to revive the property over the past decade (see 'Singer Off Logan's Run' for the most recent).  Joseph Kosinski (hot commercial director for Nike, Apple and Nintendo) is set to direct his first motion picture, working with a script by Tim Sexton (Children of Men) to be produced by Joel Silver (Speed Racer, V for Vendetta).  Kosinski has a high-tech style that should work well in the new 300 high-tech/low budget/realistic-looking world of filmmaking.

Logan's Run is based on the 1967 novel by William F. Nolan and George Clayton about a society in which all people of a certain age are put to death, but is best known from the 1976 movie starring Michael York, Jenny Agutter and Farrah Fawcett.  Warner Bros. plans to stay closer to the original material with this project.
