The animated feature The Ten Commandments will open on 500 to 800 screens on October 26th.  Voice talent on the picture includes Ben Kingsley as narrator, Elliott Gould as God, Christian Slater as Moses, and Alfred Molina as Ramses.  The film is the first in a projected series of 12 (titled Epic Stories of the Bible) produced by Promenade Pictures, the company formed by former studio head Frank Yablans. 

And where there's a trend, WalMart isn't far behind.  It is currently testing a line of faith-based action figures (one2believe's Tales of Glory toy line) in over 400 stores.
