The Nearly Complete Essential Hembeck Archives Omnibus, a 900-page collection of material written and drawn by the gifted parodist Fred Hembeck over the past three decades, is due out from Image Comics in February.  The book is divided into seven sections including Hembeck's early work, his 1980's Fantaco collections, the Dateline:@#$% strips that didn't make it into the Fantaco books, work for the The Comic Reader, Comic Scene and The Amazing Heroes Swimsuit specials, 80 pages of mostly original Hembeck characters, 210 pages of the 1990s Dateline: @#$% from the Comics Buyers Guide, and a catch-all section collecting his most recent works.

This massive tome will be available from Image for just $24.99.  The Nearly Complete Essential Hembeck Archives Omnibus features a foreword by Stan Lee, an introduction by Jim Salicrup and an afterword by Al Gordon.
