Upper Deck Entertainment has announced that it is providing World of Warcraft TCG players with another way to step up their game with a new 'Crafting Redemption Program.'  Using a mechanism that mirrors what players can do in the WoW online game, Upper Deck is allowing players to collect various 'crafting materials' that can be combined (according to special recipes) and then redeemed for exclusive equipment that can be used in the trading card game such as Netherdrake Gloves, a Felsteel Reaper, or the Girdle of Ruination.

Upper Deck began inserting crafting materials in the recently-released Fires of Outland expansion and UDE has posted five different recipes for Fires of Outland, with each recipe requiring 20-30 crafting materials cards.  Players can find one of twelve different crafting materials featured on the redesigned UDE Points cards that are included in every WoW TCG booster pack.  Upper Deck has retired the Pirates and Ninjas mini-game that was previously found on the UDE Points cards.  From now on new crafting materials will be featured in every booster pack and new recipes will be posted.

WoW TCG players can start crafting their recipes now and will be able to redeem their cards in November.  European players can redeem their crafting materials at the upcoming Darkness Faire held in France on November 17th and 18th, while U.S. players can redeem theirs at the WoW TCG World Championships that will be held in San Diego from November 30th through December 2nd.  Players who can't attend either event can mail in their cards for redemption.
