In the classic Doctor Who series there are clearly no more popular villains than the stubby, robotic Daleks, who first appeared in 1963, the same year the time-traveling Doctor debuted on the BBC.  But in 1975, during the reign of Tom Baker, the most popular of the old school Doctors, the entire Daleks mythos took on a new richness in the serial story known as The Genesis of the Daleks, which introduced Davros, the scientist responsible for the creation of the Daleks.

Altogether Davros appeared in five Doctor Who sagas and on March 4th, BBC Video is releasing an 8-DVD set that includes all of the Davros serials.  The Complete Davros Collection (MSRP $99.98) includes The Genesis of the Daleks (serial #78), The Destiny of the Daleks (#104, the only Davros epic that has not been previously released on DVD), The Resurrection of the Daleks (#134), The Revelation of the Daleks (#143), and The Remembrance of the Daleks (# 152).  Each saga comes complete with a smorgasbord of extra features including commentaries, featurettes, trailers, and interviews.
