Mayfair Games has announced the March release of Horus, a unique game that combines card and tile play in a contest in which two to four players vie for control of the river Nile and the kingdom of ancient Egypt.  The easy-to-learn game (for ages 10 and up) contains a surprising amount of strategic and tactical elements as players attempt to extend their own territory and block the efforts of opponents to control vital areas of the all-important Nile basin.

Designed by H. Jean Vanaise, the deluxe Horus game (MSRP $35) includes 54 cards, 120 tiles (that feature stylish hieroglyphics), 80 wooden kingdom markers, a tile bag, and rules.
