Comcast, the nation's largest cable system operator, is closing down its Asia-centric AZN TV network, which will go off the air after April 9th.  The AZN Network, which debuted in 2005 and targeted Asian Americans, was available on Comcast, Time Warner and Cox cable systems, reaching an audience estimated at 13.9 million, but Comcast is pulling the plug because of difficulty in attracting advertisers to the network.

The AZN Network featured popular Asian films, television dramas, anime and news with most programs either presented in English or with English subtitles. Currently AZN is presenting a number of anime series including Last Exile, Saiyuki Reload, Moonphase, and Kakurenbo: Hide and Seek.
