Two comic-based movies, Iron Man and Wanted, will benefit from ads run during the Superbowl, but the biggest ad campaign for a pop culture property was for a TV series.  Fox's Terminator series, The Sarah Connor Chronicles got heavy ad support during the Super Bowl broadcast, along with other on-air marketing support.  The show benefited from the writer's strike, premiering in January in 24's slot (see 'Strike Shutting Down Shows').

The Iron Man ad, which has been available online since Friday, promotes the new Marvel movie, which premieres May 2nd behind a ton of other marketing support (see 'Iron Man's Potent Promo Partners').

Wanted, the new film based on the Top Cow series by Mark Millar and J. P. Jones, also got a :30.  The movie premieres in June (see ''Wanted' Moved to June').

Among other film ads, the one for Chronicles of Narnia:  Prince Caspian was the only other ad for a property with significant licensing clout during this biggest TV event of the season.
