The membership of the Writers' Guild of America has overwhelmingly ratified a new agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers with 92.5% of the scribes voting in favor of going back to work.  Although most of the major decisions on potential motion pictures may take a few days (or more) to work out as the studios scramble to set up their 2009 slates, the TV networks have already been busy rearranging their TV schedules.

With a bunch of cheap, semi-successful reality shows in its hamper, NBC has decided to can Bionic Woman and Journeyman, while Heroes and Chuck are not expected to return with new episodes until next fall. Fox has decided to wait until next January before beginning a complete new season of 24, while ABC is planning on airing at least five of the planned eight remaining episodes of Lost this season.

The CW wants five or six new episodes of its top series including Smallville, Supernatural, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, and Reaper.  Because of the demise of this year's pilot season, new series will be few and far between next fall.
