Wonder Woman scribe Gail Simone and fantasy and science fiction writer Orson Scott Card will be participating in the upcoming New York Comic Con as Guests of Honor.  They join a distinguished group of Guests of Honor from all across the pop culture spectrum that includes Mike Mignola, Grant Morrison, and T.M. Revolution.  The NYCC has also revealed a growing list of "Featured Guests" that includes Ralph Bakshi, Jim Butcher, Garth Ennis, Mark Evanier, Scott McCloud, Ruben Procopio, and Steve Rude.  The most recent additions to the roster of "Featured Guests" are the Venture Bros. creators, Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer.

Gail Simone, who is probably best known for her long run on Birds of Prey, is taking over the reins of Wonder Woman comic, where she will be the book's first long-term female writer.

Not only have a number of Orson Scott Card's novels been adapted as comic books (see "Dabel Bros. Adapting New Ender's Universe Story"), Card also wrote a six-issue Ultimate Iron Man mini-series for Marvel.  A number of other leading science fiction and fantasy authors including Terry Brooks and David Lead will be attending the New York Comic Con, which will be held from April 18-20 at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan.
