A spokesperson from ADV confirmed the acquisition of the rights to the 51-episode Kiba anime series, which was produced by Madhouse and sponsored by Upper Deck Japan.  The Kiba anime ties in to a card game (see "Upper Deck to License Kiba?") and the 51-episode series skews a little bit older than Yu-Gi-Oh! thanks to a more violent, action-packed storyline (at least in the original version).

Repeated inquires by ICv2 to Upper Deck have yielded no information concerning Upper Deck America's plans to exploit the Kiba property, but don't be surprised if there are announcements about the release of a Kiba CCG and television exposure for the Kiba anime series sometime in the next month.
