North Star Games, the company responsible for Wits and Wagers, is back with a new party game, Say Anything ($24.99), for 4-8 players ages 8 and up. Designed by Dominic Crapuchettes and Satish Pillalamarri, Say Anything combines personal insights with betting and creates fast-moving game-play with resorting to "turns." North Star will demonstrate Say Anything at GAMA in April, and the game will be on sale in time for Origins in late June.
To play Say Anything, one player assumes the role of the Judge and selects a question from a game card. The questions, which are calculated to stimulate strong opinions, include queries such as: "What is the most over-rated band of all time?" or "If you could have a BIG anything, what would it be?" or "Who is the most annoying celebrity in show business?" Players then write down what each person thinks is the best answer to the question. The judge reads the answers aloud, and the players debate the pros and cons of each answer. The Judge secretly decides what he or she believes is the best answer, while the other players bet on the answer the judge has chosen.
