Calum Johnston of Strange Adventures Comic Book Shop in Halifax, Nova Scotia saw John Riley’s column on mentoring for gaming retailers (see “Sharpening the Sword--Participation, Part 1”), and recommends the Comic Book Industry Alliance forum as a resource for comics retailers:

On the subject of mentoring and retailers exchanging ideas, I have found the best place on the Web is the CBIA (Comic Book Industry Alliance, thecbia.com) forum on Delphi.  Started more than ten years ago by San Diego retailer Robert Scott, it has many members talking about everything to do with comic retailing and some stuff that's not.

A very helpful and insightful place -- well worth checking out for any new, prospective or established comics retailer.
