Not too long ago extra features on anime discs were few and far between, but gradually producers have been going to the trouble of subtitling some of the special interviews and features appearing on the deluxe editions of the Japanese DVDs.  Case in point—Viz Media’s two-disc release of Naruto the Movie 2: Legend of the Stone Gelel (MSRP $29.98), which is due to be released on July 29th (see “Naruto the Movie 2 in July”).

The extras on Naruto the Movie 2 include a special feature on “Creating the World of Naruto 2;” another feature on how to “Write and Adapt Like a Ninja;” plus “Words From Japan,” “Production Art Gallery,” “Original Storyboards,” and the “Original Japanese Movie Trailers.”  In addition the disc will also include a trailer for the third Naruto movie, Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom, also known (more literally) as Naruto the Movie 3: Great Excitement! The Animal Panic of Crescent Moon Island.
