Boom Studios has added a retailer to its staff as Managing Editor.  Matt Gagnon, who’s been the buyer and purchasing manager at Meltdown Comics, a 9000 square foot store on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, was added to the Boom staff to oversee the Farscape line (see “Boom! Gets Farscape”) and promoted to managing editor shortly thereafter. 

Gagnon will report to EIC Mark Waid, who said of Gagnon, “Matt Gagnon is like the Michael Clayton of comics.  At… Meltdown, I saw him in action, making things happen and fixing problems.  At Boom he’s done the same thing, to the point where I probably ought to start fearing for my job.”
