Cards Inc. of Watford, England has purchased the entire stock of the Star Wars CCG produced by Decipher.  Decipher recently lost the license for the Star Wars CCG to Wizards of the Coast (see 'WOTC Gets Star Wars CCG').   WOTC is releasing a new Star Wars CCG based on Episode II that will not be compatible with the previously produced Decipher product.  Now Decipher has sold its Star Wars inventory to Cards Inc. in what the Cards Inc. refers to as 'a seven figure deal.'

 

Darren Epstein, the Managing Director of Cards Inc, felt the opportunity to continue to supply the remaining product of this hugely successful card game was to good to pass up. 'The market is still there, the players are still there, and there is no doubt in my mind that with the release of the new movie, there will be renewed interest both in the USA and Europe.'
