12:00-12:30 p.m. ComicsPRO Update & Cookie Book: Chat about ComicsPRO with board members Joe Field, Chris Powell, and Amanda Fisher. (Room 21)

 

12:30-2:00 p.m. Showing of the Spirit: Video presentations of this year’s finalists. (Room 22)

 

2:00-3:00 p.m. Atom! & Portlyn Pack ‘Em In! The owners of Brave New World Comics help you transform your store. (Room 22)

 

3:00-4:15 p.m. Remembering Rory: The Rory Root Tribute: The Comic Relief owner is remembered. (Room 22)

 

4:30-6:00 p.m. So You Want To Be A Comic Book Retailer? Tips and advice for aspiring shop owners. (Room 32AB)

 

Then, at 8:30 p.m. in Ballroom 20, the Eisner Awards will be presented, showcasing comics’ best for the past year. The theme of the evening will be “The Magic of Comics,” and a total of 29 awards will be handed out, including the Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailing Award, won last year by Earth-2 in Sherman Oaks, California.
