Top Cow Productions has announced that Jenna Dewan, who will appear as Patience in the film adaptation of The Magdalena, and Luke Goss who will play Kristof, an agent sent by the Church to train Patience, will both appear at the Top Cow panel at Comic-Con on Saturday.  The Magdalena movie, which is produced by Gale Anne Hurd’s Vahalla Motion Pictures, Platinum Studios, and Top Cow Productions, is the story about the latest woman in a generational line of female warriors descended from Mary Magdalene, who are charged with protecting the Catholic Church (see “Top Cow’s Magdalena Optioned”).  Casting is of course the last stage before actual shooting begins, and a pretty good indicator that a film will actually be produced.

Jenna Dewan is a former cheerleader who has danced in numerous music videos and who has had key roles in Step Up and The Grudge 2.  Luke Goss has had a successful musical career (Bros., Luke Goss and the Band of Thieves), wrote a bestselling autobiography (I Owe You Nothing) and has acted in a number of movies including Blade 2, Charlie, and most recently in Hellboy II: The Golden Army as Prince Nuada.
