According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons Website, Ross Rojek, who at one time owned the Comic & Comix chain and the Another Universe e-commerce store, is due to be released from custody on September 18th.  He’s currently in the custody of the Sacramento Community Corrections office, which could mean anything from a halfway house to house arrest, prior to his release.  Rojek will have served just under four years of his six year and three month sentence for bilking investors in scheme unrelated to his comic retailing operations.

Both Comics and Comix and Another Universe, at one time the largest comic retailers of their kinds, were shut down by the time Rojek entered prison in 2004.
