Star Wars:  The Force Unleashed sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide in its first five days of sales across all platforms worldwide, putting it on track to be the bestselling Star Wars videogame of all time, according to LucasArts.  Over 4.3 million copies were shipped worldwide for the initial release, with more copies being manufactured and moved to market since. 

Beyond the videogame, Force Unleashed has been a powerhouse property across a wide range of categories, including games (Wizards of the Coast, see “The Force Unleashed”); graphic novels, where the Dark Horse book has been a bestseller in both the comic store (see “Top 100 Graphic Novels—August”) and bookstore markets (see “Bookscan’s Top 20 Graphic Novels for August”); and fiction (the Del Rey book was #1 on the New York Times bestseller list, see “Del Rey LucasBooks extend Star Wars Contract”).
