Longtime comic retailer and distributor Kirby Gee passed away last Wednesday at his home in New Orleans.  Gee managed warehouses for Capital City Distribution, including its New Orleans-area warehouse in the 90s, and was a principal of Crescent City Comics until it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina (see “Gee Out of New Orleans”). 

Gee was a warm, funny, bright individual with a great knowledge of the comic business who was a pleasure to be around.  He will be missed by all who knew him.  Our condolences to his family.
