Josh Schwartz, the creator of Gossip Girl and The OC, will write X-Men: First Class, a new feature from Fox, according to the Hollywood trades.  The plan is to use younger characters, perhaps those introduced as students at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning in the earlier X-Men features.

Fox will release X-Men Origins: Wolverine next May (see “Wolverine Cast”), and is also working on Magneto (see “Goyer to Direct Magneto”) and Deadpool (see “Deadpool Movie”) features.
