Vertigo and DC Comics’ Human Target is the subject of a Warner Bros. TV pilot that’s close to being greenlit by Fox, according to Hollywood Reporter.  The show is written by Jericho co-creator Jonathan Steinberg. 

 

The character takes the role of his clients in order to serve as a “human target” and protect them from harm.   

 

The property was developed as a back-up feature for Action Comics and was on TV for a very brief seven episode season in the early 90s.  More recently, the character has been the subject of two Vertigo series.  Four Vertigo graphic novels, all written by Peter Milligan, are currently available.
