
Screenlife Games, the makers of the popular Scene It? series of DVD board games, handed out details on a number of licensed versions of the game at last month’s Toy Fair. Similar to other versions of the game, Scene It? Star Trek Deluxe Edition tests players on trivia about the TV show and movies. A DVD with Star Trek clips drives the action, offering on-screen puzzles and questions. In addition to the regular version of the game, there will be two limited-edition, embossed tins, featuring iconic captains or ships from the Star Trek universe. Scene It? Star Trek Deluxe Edition is shipping now and has an MSRP of $39.99.
Several other licensed games are also in the offering from Screenlife for later this year. Scene It? The Simpsons Deluxe Edition and Scene It? 80s Deluxe Edition both arrive this fall, quizzing players on everything from Bart Simpson to Pac-Man. Also on the schedule are the Ice Age: DVD Game, which includes scenes from all three Ice Age movies, including the upcoming Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs; the South Park DVD Trivia Game, covering all 12 seasons of the animated series; and Dilbert Escape from Cubeville, a non-DVD title that challenges players to escape from their cubicles while avoiding the Pointy-Haired Boss.
