The Michigan-based Dust Press, which published comic books designed to engage kids of all ages with Biblical stories, has announced its demise with the succinct phrase, “Yes, Dust is biting the Dust.”   Dust published three Bible-based comics including Seven Sons ($4.95), which was based on Acts 19: 11-20, The Blessed Curse ($4.95), based on the Old Testament story of Balaam and his talking donkey, and Fire From Heaven, another Old Testament tale.

The current economic climate has been especially hard on small publishers of both comics and manga.  A spokesperson for Dust Press explained: “We had a lot of fun. We even had a few people tell us we were making something great. But we were never able to get enough people to join us and so we've run out of steam.”
