Rich Gain of Jester's Playhouse in Northfield, New Jersey read the recent interview with Wizards of the Coast CEO Greg Leeds (see "Wizards of the Coast CEO Greg Leeds on PDFs") and sent in this comment:

I appreciate Wizards' response to online PDFs.  I do not think this the main problem facing the brick and mortar retailers who carry Wizards of the Coast products.  The real problem comes from online discount sites like Amazon and Buy.com who pre-sell new release products at about 48% off.  If Wizards wants to help the retail community, specifically the hobby game retailers, then stopping the sale of its products through Amazon and others is the first step.  This can be done in the same way Games Workshop has curtailed discount sales of its products on the web.  The images and content of the Wizards products are intellectual property and should be protected as such, so do not give anyone permission to display it on the web.  I know this is a pipe dream, but this will do a lot more than filing suits and stopping PDFs.
