EA division BioWare announced today that Green Ronin will produce a pen & paper RPG based on the company’s Dragon Age:  Origins videogame, due out for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 this fall.   Green Ronin’s first release, a boxed set, will be released this summer.  Additional box sets and books are also planned. 

Dragon Age is dark, heroic fantasy, and has been described as the “spiritual successor” to BioWare’s Baldur’s Gate.  Green Ronin has experience in the dark fantasy genre from its work on Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Black Company, and Thieves’ World.
