The Canadian game company Herobits, which specializes in kids games, has announced the Sunday June 21st debut of its Herobits Collectible Card Game, a sci-fi themed armored hero game for players ages 8 and up.  Herobits Series 1 consists of three complete 50-card decks (MSRP $12.50 each), each one featuring a single armored hero.  Game play requires just 2 players each with their own Herobits 50-card deck.  There are no boosters eliminating the need to spend more money to enjoy the game.

Players can sit down, learn the rules, and be playing Herobits within ten minutes.  Each 50-card deck contains a rules sheet and a character poster.  Series 1 Herobits decks feature James Willstorm, Ulrika Vidar, and Li Kui.  New Herobits series, each of which will contain 3 new character decks, are scheduled at 2-3 month intervals.  Every new series will feature new artists and new art styles that fit the characters depicted.

The game is set on a future devastated Earth where giant mechanical monsters (reapers) toil tirelessly to feed the “machine,” while in Arcadia, one the few remaining human enclaves, young Arcadians train as Herobits to wield powerful armor and weaponry to prepare to combat the “machine” and reclaim the planet.

The Herobits CCG is being distributed in Canada by Grosnor Distribution, Inc. and in the United States by ACD Distribution, Inc.
