Posthuman Studios and Catalyst Game Labs’ upcoming Eclipse Phase RPG (see “’Eclipse Phase’ RPG from Catalyst”) has been optioned for a movie by newly formed More Nachos Entertainment. More Nachos founder Stephen Marinaccio has over 40 film credits to his name, mostly in a production capacity. His credits include work on box-office titles Seabiscuit, Corky Romano, Eraser, and The Flinstones in Viva Rock Vegas.

Eclipse Phase is a sci-fi RPG set in a future when humanity has all but merged with technology, even going as far as digitizing the human mind for backup storage and “transfers” to far-flung locales. The game was created by industry veteran Rob Boyle (Shadowrun, Fourth Edition).

The Eclipse Phase Core Rulebook is currently printing and is scheduled for a summer release. The 400-page, full-color hardcover is projected to sell for $49.99.
