According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dark Horse Comics is publishing Supersized: Strange Tales From a Fast Food Culture, a companion volume to Morgan Spurlock’s 2004 Super-Size Me documentary.  Spurlock is writing the collection of bizarre stories about the U.S.’s obsession with fast food, which will be illustrated by a mix of established and up-and-coming artists.

MC Super-Size Me, a character created in the promotion for Spurlock’s documentary, will function as the Cryptkeeper does in Tales From the Crypt, introducing the stories and commenting on the action.  The stories will focus on weird fast food arcana such as a garage museum/shrine dedicated to demonstrating the scary longevity of the preservative-laden McDonalds food items.

According to The Reporter, the Supersized: Strange Tales From a Fast Food Culture graphic novel will be released in the spring of 2010.
