At the San Diego Comic-Con, Dark Horse Comics announced that Gerard Way is writing a third Umbrella Academy series, which will be titled Hotel Oblivion.  Way, the lead singer for My Chemical Romance, has shown a definite flair for comic book creation.  The first Umbrella Academy graphic novel collection has been a big hit in both the comic book shops and the book store market. A second volume, The Umbrella Academy: Dallas is due out in hardcover in September and in paperback in October.

Dark Horse also announced that Way is writing (with Sean Simon) a new series, The Fabulous Lives of the Killjoys.  Becky Cloonan will be providing the art for this comic book series, which Dark Horse’s Director of Public Relations Jeremy Atkins described to ICv2 as “a psychedelic rock-and-roll road trip adventure geared toward both fans of The Umbrella Academy and My Chemical Romance fans.”
