Stitch!, a new animated series based on the Disney movie characters and produced by Disney and anime studio Madhouse, is scheduled to air on TV Asahi in prime time beginning in October, according to Variety.  This is the second Japanese co-production  based on Stitch; the first series (see “Disney, Madhouse Collaboration”) aired on a smaller Japanese broadcast network beginning last October and is currently on the Disney Channel there.    

This prominent position in Japanese television is a big deal for a new animated series, especially one based on American IP.
