Disney Channel star David Henrie has been attached to The Weapon, based on the Platinum miniseries, according to Hollywood Reporter.  The film will be produced by Platinum’s Scott Rosenberg, who created the comic, and Henrie père Jim Henrie.  Randy Greenberg will be executive producer. 

Henrie hit it big as Justin Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place; he also had a recurring role on That’s So Raven. 

The comic follows inventor and martial arts enthusiast Tommy Zhou in a story that combines elements of ancient Chinese legend and modern technology.
