Variety is reporting that Vanquish Pictures has optioned DevaShard, a graphic novel published by Hong Kong-based Fluid Comics.  Created by Zen, Keith Burns, and Johnny Tam, DevaShard is a fantasy saga about two sons, one born in darkness and the other in light that is loosely based on Eastern mythology. 

Kevin Grevioux, the co-creator of the popular Underworld movies, is writing the treatment for DevaShard with Vanquish’s Jay Douglas and Nav Gupta set to create the script (with help from Heather Kenealy.  According to Variety, Grevioux has set up his own comic books, I, Frankenstein with Death Ray Films and The Pale Horseman with NEHST Studios.  Grevioux also has Zombies of Mass Destruction under development with Benderspink (see “Scribes Set for Zombies of Mass Destruction”).
