McFarlane's second series of Anime Figures is particularly interesting because it contains three figures from Katsuhiro Otomo's classic 1988 anime, Akira, which is being remastered and will be released on video in July (see 'Remastered Akira Video Debut Set'). The newly refurbished Akira is likely to be one of the top video releases of the year, and McFarlane's Akira figures, particularly 'Kaneda on His Motorcycle,' are sure to appeal to anime fans.
