Virgin Comics successor Liquid Comics (see “Virgin Comics Acquired”) and L&E Productions are partnering to launch Epic Cycle, a new graphic novel brand for transmedia properties, according to Variety.  Liquid will oversee the graphic novel production process for properties and writers identified by L&E.

The first Epic Cycle releases will be H20, based on a novel about a worldwide drought and the search for water by Grant Calof; A Thousand Arts, about a transplanted Shaolin monk battling to protect his cultural heritage in the Alaskan wilderness, written by Stuart Moore; and Purgatory, the story of a rogue professor hired to prove the afterlife exists by the Catholic church, written by Ron Marz.
