Playroom Entertainment is revisiting its popular Killer Bunnies world with a customizable and expandable version to be called Killer Bunnies and the Ultimate Odyssey. Designed by Killer Bunnies creator Jeffrey Neil Bellinger, this all-new game allows each player to design his own deck to play against other players.
Odyssey will be a more strategic than other Killer Bunnies titles. Players will attempt to earn “Civilization Points” by building cities and populating them with bunnies, or by destroying their opponents’ cities and bunnies. As a Killer Bunnies game, it will feature a lot of humor, with silly weapons to attack other players, and numerous pop culture references.
There will be six different starter decks of 60 cards each. Starter decks are designed to allow play “out of the box,” or different starters can be combined to build custom decks. The starter decks are not random, so players will know what cards are included in each set.
As a customizable game, each player will be able to mix cards from various starter sets and upcoming expansions to create their own personal deck for the game. Decks are not shared during play, instead each player uses only their own constructed deck of 60 cards. Since each player must use 60 cards, at least two starters are needed to play.
Playroom Entertainment plans to begin releasing expansion sets three months after the initial release. Expansion sets are expected to be released monthly.
Killer Bunnies and the Ultimate Odyssey will be released at the end of the second quarter. It will have a suggested retail price of $12.00.
