In Warners’ continuing efforts to get a Superman movie into production before its rights expire, it’s hiring experienced comic movie scribe David Goyer to write the script, according to Variety.  The script is tentatively titled Man of Steel, which Latino Review is reporting will be based on the John Byrne 80s reboot of the same name.

The film is being developed for Warners by Christopher Nolan (see “Dark Knight Director on Superman”), who knows Goyer’s work well.  Goyer co-wrote Batman Begins, helped develop the story for Dark Knight, and is working with Jonathan Nolan on a script for the third Nolan Batman film.
