Playthings, the leading toy trade magazine, has been sold to Sandow Media, along with several sister publications owned by Reed Business Information.  Sandow is a print and online publisher focusing on luxury brands.  

This is the latest divestiture by RBI, which announced last year that it was selling most of its trade publishing unit (see “PW, Playthings, Video Business for Sale”).  The company recently sold Library Journal and School Library Journal (see “Reed Sells LJ, SLJ”), and shuttered Video Business (see “Video Business Shuts Down”).
