Top Shelf Productions will publish two Alan Moore titles in 2011.  The Bojeffries Saga will collect stories by Moore and artist Steve Parkhouse and add a new, previously unpublished story that puts the characters in modern times.  The Bojeffries Saga was launched with stories published in Warrior in 1983; a number of other publishers have also published new stories or collections over the years.

The Moon and Serpent Bumper Book of Magic will be written by Moore and (the unrelated) writer Steve Moore, with art by some familiar names.  “There are a lot of cartoonists working on it, a lot of whom have worked with him in the past,” Top Shelf Publisher Chris Staros told us.  “We haven’t locked down names but everybody has pretty much agreed to do it.”  Kevin O'Neill, Melinda Gebbie, John Coulthart, and José Villarrubia have been announced to date.

The 320-page hardcover is intended to be a working grimoire, or textbook of magic by the two Moores, who are described as “the current proprietors of the celebrated Moon & Serpent Grand Egyptian Theatre of Marvels.”  In addition to the magical instructions, the book will include a history of magic, and extras such as a Kabalistic board game, Tarot cards, and a pop-up temple.
