Milton Griepp, founder of ICv2, has joined the board of directors of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. He joins Peter David, John Davis, Neil Gaiman, Greg Ketter, Denis Kitchen, Frank Mangiaracina, and Louise Nemschoff, who voted unanimously for his inclusion. Griepp brings a background in comics distribution, retailing, and publishing to the board (for more background on Griepp and ICv2, see 'About ICv2'). The CBLDF is currently engaged in one of the most important fights in its fifteen year history of defending the First Amendment rights of comic creators, retailers, and publishers; it is appealing the conviction of a Texas retailer that was sentenced to six months in jail for selling an adult comic to an adult (see 'CBLDF Appeals Retailer Conviction').
