Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment has optioned Nick Percival’s graphic novel Legends: The Enchanted that is due out this month from Radical Comics.  The success of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland has spurred interest in public domain fairy tale characters in Hollywood.   Legend features re-imagined versions of characters such as Jack the Giant Killer, Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, and Hansel and Gretel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, no writer has been attached and the project is not set up with any studio at the present time.  Other Radical Comics in development include Rick Remender’s Last Days of American Crime, which still has Sam Worthington set to star, and Oblivion, which Tron Legacy helmer Joe Kosinski is developing.
