Papercutz is launching New Case File series for Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys in September, using the popularity of vampires and zombies to drive the storylines and hinting at a meeting between the worlds of the two series.  The new series will be in a larger 6” x 9” 64-page format, up from the old 5” x 7-1/2” format previously used for the properties. Softcovers will retail for $6.99, and hardcovers for $10.99.

The first volume in the Nancy Drew:  The New Case Files series, Nancy Drew Vampire Slayer, is written by Stefan Petrucha and Sarah Kinney, with art by Sho Murase.  The vampire craze hits River Heights, with the “DieLite” series the most popular books and movies around, a “real” young vampire hitting town, and something dark and sinister happening while everyone’s distracted by the vampire craze.

The first volume in the Hardy Boys:  The New Case Files series, Hardy Boys Crawling with Zombies, is written by Gerry Conway with art by Paulo Henriaque.  A teenager appears to die during the zombie crawl through Bayport, with something dark and sinister happening while everyone’s distracted by the zombie craze.
